West Manatee Fire and Rescue District honored several firefighters at their annual appreciation dinner. Lieutenant Ryan Moore was named Officer of the Year, Firefighter Rodney Kwiatkowski as named Firefighter of the Year and Firefighter Andrew Lauricella was named Rookie of the Year.
Also receiving recognition were Firefighters John Stump and Jeff Philips, who both received the Exceptional Duty Award.
Years of Service Awards went to Firefighters Keith Miller, Bill Kimbrell, Jeff Philips, Jeff Taylor, Ben Dillon and Mike Petrosino all completed 5 years of service. Lieutenant Ryan Moore and Inspector Tom Soleau competed 10 years and Lieutenant James Leigh completed 15 years.
Chief Andy Price was recognized with a Career Service Award for 30 years of service.
