USAR Teams Practice their Skills

     Urban Search And Rescue teams 644 and 419 conducted multiple rope rescue scenarios on October 4, 2011, located at the Manatee County Government parking garage. Team 644 is a multi agency team from West Manatee Fire and Rescue, Cedar Hammock Fire and Rescue and Longboat Key Fire and Rescue which was formed in 2005. Team 419 is Bradenton Fire Department's USAR team. Both teams practice regularly year round. Team members practiced their skills using different lowering and raising techniques from 4:1 advantages, Z-Rigs, Double J Rigs, to rescue victims from the upper levels of the parking garage over the side to the ground level.
