Alachua County Deployment
At 05:30 hours this morning, May 30, 2000 West Manatee Fire & Rescue deployed 1 Engine and 3 firefighters to Alachua County in support of brush fire suppression activities at the request of Florida Division of Forestry. They were sent as part of a Task Force made up of 5 other units from other Fire Departments in Manatee County. The duration of this deployment is anticipated to be for 7 days.
