West Manatee Announces Promotions
The West Manatee Fire and Rescue District announces the promotion of Lieutenant Rich Jasinski to the rank of Captain and Firefighter Darren Vollmer to the rank of Lieutenant.
Captain Jasinski began as a volunteer firefighter with the Anna Maria Fire District in 1990 and was hired by the fire district in 1994. Captain Jasinski has been responsible for the district’s self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), mapping and hydrants. Captain Jasinski holds the Fire Officer I & II certifications, Fire Inspector Certification and an associate’s degree in Fire Science.
Lieutenant Vollmer also began as a volunteer with the West Side Fire District in 1996 and was hired by the district in 2000. Lieutenant Vollmer holds the Fire Officer I and Fire Inspectors Certification. He anticipates graduating in December with his Fire Science Technology degree from Manatee Community College.
